I’m Dr. Sneha Gazi, and my passion is to improve people’s quality of life by decreasing bodily pain and dysfunction. As a professional dancer and certified yoga teacher, my passion for movement led me to the work I currently do, helping hundreds of people every year overcome their pain and improve their function. I am the Owner and CEO of Sneha Physical Therapy and currently serve the NY, NJ, and MD. I see patients at my office (280 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10016), through telehealth, and in the comfort of their homes.
I received a B.A. in Honors Psychology from New York University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University. I have worked in both outpatient orthopedic practices and acute care hospitals, gaining knowledge on high-level therapeutic manual therapies and evidence based exercises to help my patients return to the activities they love.
In New Zealand, I trained under leading specialists in back and neck pain, sports and concussion management, and other orthopedic conditions. I have also helped New York City’s Broadway performing artists get back on stage. As a life-long learner, I have taken continuing education coursework in Pelvic Health through the renowned Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and continue to stay up to date in research.
My specialties include Performing Arts, TMJ, and Pelvic Health. I specifically enjoy treating birthing parents with pre and postpartum issues such as incontinence, scar adhesions, diastasis recti, and pelvic pain.
With my strong passion for treating people with all types of chronic pain, I incorporate my holistic background of eastern and western pain science into my treatments. When necessary, I integrate yoga asanas, breathing techniques, guided meditation, and mindfulness exercises to catapult my patients’ road to recovery.
Giving back to the community, and to the world, is a strong value of mine. I began a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Physical Therapy International Foundation, where I bring free PT services globally to underserved populations while teaching students in PT doctoral programs across the United States. I am also the proud host and producer for the leading health and wellness podcast "Fit As A Fiddle", found everywhere you search for podcasts. I sit on the board as a medical advisor for PROnatal Fitness and assist various wellness start ups and entrepreneurs reach and serve their audiences. My medical commentary has been featured in magazines such as Vogue, Shoutout LA, and Voyage LA, along with a dozen podcasts. Through my work in PT, Yoga, and Mindfulness, I wish to increase awareness of healthy body, healthy mind, and healthy lifestyles.

The moment Sneha assessed me, I knew I was in good hands. As a former Broadway dancer, I knew my body and understood the language and physicality of many of its mechanics. Sneha spoke with great knowledge of all of the above, but there was something more. Immediately she began to fill in blank spaces and answer key questions in both my understanding of my injury and my healing. Every exercise and piece of information she provided complimented, strengthened and solidified my path forward. To find this level of trust in any therapist’s expertise, especially at one of my lowest points, was priceless. For me, she is more than a PT. Sneha is a healer. I’m much stronger now and nearly pain free, and I’m truly grateful for her part in my healing!

"Sneha worked with me for a few months on a back injury. I was instantly taken by her range of knowledge and her ability to communicate a lot of information clearly. I like to know how the body works and why I'm doing specific exercises, and Sneha was always patient with me and incredibly helpful. She can be tough when needed, but that made my recovery go that much faster. She's also really fun to talk with, which makes a big difference when you're going through something like this."

Without the help of Sneha, I could not have gotten through my 8-show week schedule. After Working with her, not only did I feel immediate relief, but she gave me the tools for long last back health!

I had an excellent experience in the care of Sneha. Her background and knowledge of yoga comes through in her physical therapy practice and I appreciated her unique approach to our therapy sessions. She emphasized incorporating the breath into each exercise and has a great understanding of how to make small physical adjustments for a large payoff. She is an excellent communicator and always provides thorough but simple explanations to always make sure that I also understood exactly what is going on in my body! I had great success with my injury while in her care.

Sneha is a professional of the highest caliber who treats bodies with dignity and respect. I never felt uncomfortable being at my worst around Sneha (and I have been); being in my own home helped considerably. Sneha is an excellent listener and issue spotter, her instructions and treatment plans are insightful and clear.
Also - and this merits its own paragraph: Sneha's hands are second-to-none. She has a gift.

I'd been struggling with a hip flexer injury for over a year, in just 3 months Sneha helped me be pain free and get me back to playing sports again. In the first session she identified the pain points and created a plan for the muscles I needed to strengthened to get my body back in balance. The exercises program she gave me evolved as I built up the strength so that every week I was improving my strength without ever feeling overwhelmed with exercises that were too challenging or too time consuming.
Also Sneha is a fun person to work with, being injured and dealing with pain is disheartening, but when you have someone like Sneha encouraging you and you see results every week the recovery process quickly becomes a positive experience. I definitely recommend Sneha to anyone struggling with pain or an injury.

Dr. Sneha Gazi is an amazing Physical Therapist!
I was experiencing a shoulder injury for months and began to feel anxiety over the lack of healing. Withing my first interaction with Dr. Sneha Gazi, I felt her warmth and verbal support being genuine and helpful . After our first appointment I could instantly feel the healing elements the following day and could not be more grateful!
I highly recommend Dr. Sneha Gazi and all of her wonderful qualities for anyone who needs the support and is searching for the best healer in NYC.

There is not enough space on this review form to say all the good things about Dr. Sneha Gazi!
I am a working mother of two kids. Before giving birth, I was incredibly athletic and active. After multiple pregnancies, I found my core so destroyed that any simple physical activities caused me great pain. I was so frustrated and even had to consider the fact that I might never be able to exercise again.
After many inquiries into PT doctors in NYC, I am so fortunate to have found Dr. Gazi. She helped me rebuild my core and get me back to an active lifestyle without pain in just a matter of months. AND she makes house calls, so her services are extremely convenient.
I cannot recommend Dr. Gazi's services enough. You will not find a harder working, more dedicated PT doc to work with in NYC.
